Farouk is the CEO of Cocoon Homes and has played a key role in the venture since its conception. Farouk has been an Executive Director of the Monument Group since 2004, managing the Groups principal investment firm, as well as taking overall responsibility for Monument’s real estate business. Previously, Farouk served as a non-executive director on the board of Vanso Nigeria Limited, and as a production/facilities engineer with Canadian Petroleum. Farouk holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering (M.Eng.) from Imperial College, London and an MSc in Investment Management from the Henley Business School (University of Reading).
Olumide played a major role in developing the strategy, planning and provision of financial leadership for Cocoon Homes from 2017 to 2020. Prior to joining Cocoon, Olumide was the Chief Finance Officer of a real estate development firm and presently, Olumide is the Chief Finance & Strategy Officer at Zedcrest Capital Group.
His other experiences include Corporate Finance and Governance Consultant for a leading business and management Consulting firm in Nigeria, Finance and Strategy Manager for a leading downstream oil and gas company in Nigeria, Core Planning Manager for a telecommunications consulting firm in Nigeria, and Accounts Manager and Tax Accountant for a leading FMCG company in Nigeria.
Olumide is a qualified accountant (ICAN and ACCA), and he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the Oxford Brookes University (UK).
Youssef Elouardy advises Cocoon Homes on project development and execution. He previously served as the technical director at Cocoon Homes from 2015 to 2017, during which he had overall responsibility for taking new projects from concept to product delivery. Prior to joining the company, Youssef was the country Managing Director of Alliances Development in Ivory Coast and previously project director at Alliances Darna in Morocco. He has managed projects worth over US$1.1 billion and managed the construction of over ten thousand housing units in Morocco and Ivory Coast. He has a Master’s degree in Employer and Property Management from the Special School of Public Works Building and Industry of Paris, a diploma of Engineering from Hassania School of Public Works, Civil Engineering in Casablanca, Morocco.
Tolulope Ogunlokun a qualified chartered accountant whose experience spans across several sectors of the economy. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Tolulope specialises in Financial Reporting and Taxation. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Jubril is a seasoned building construction professional with a thorough knowledge of end to end construction processes and extensive hands on experience. He has nearly 20 years of experience working with blue chip construction companies in Nigeria.
Jubril is a qualified registered builder (CORBON), a member of Nigeria Institute of Building (MNIOB), certified MPM and also a fellow of America Academy of Project Management.
Omolayo Osasona is a Quantity surveyor with over 14 years’ experience in the real estate & construction industry in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and she is also a member of The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS).
